Turn on the radio or the television or hop online and you are bound to eventually see something related to the superstar singer Adele.  She took 2011 and made it hers thanks to her powerful vocals and poignant songwriting.  Although she had released an album prior to her hit-filled 21, she did not really get the boost that she needed until this year when her first single from the sophomore album “Rolling In The Deep” was released.

The album was well-received and loved and it spent more weeks at the top than any other album in history.  How’s that for number one?  Unfortunately Adele was forced to cancel her tours this year due to an issue with her throat that she would have to have operated on.  Still, fans adored her.

Once the ballad “Someone Like You” was released she received even more fans.  The song really tugs at people’s heartstrings no matter their background or circumstances.

If Adele continues on like she did this year, there is no reason why she should not have many, many years filled with much incredible success.  Because of her amazing success this past year, she is an obvious choice for 2011′s best.
